Community Involvement

Ruggles Sign Company is a proud member of several civic and professional groups, consisting of:

• Woodford County Chamber of Commerce

• 1997 Woodford County Chamber of Commerce “Small Business of the Year

• Midwest Sign Association (MSA) Tim Cambron, Ruggles’ President, is presently serving as a Board Member of this organization.

• World Sign Associates (WSA) 

• International Sign Association (ISA)

• United Way of the Bluegrass:  Our employees make voluntary contributions to this organization through payroll deduction; our employee group has received a participation award each year consecutively since 1989.

We also donate time and services to such organizations as:

• Big Brothers of Kentucky  

• Relay for Life (American Cancer Society)  

• Woodford County Reality Store  

Within our company, we have several individuals who are involved with numerous other civic and professional groups as well.

Furthermore, we have been involved with the School to Work Program through the Woodford County School System.  Over the past couple of years, we have had several students from the WCMS (Woodford Co. Middle School) perform job shadowing in our graphics department.  We have also attended as a guest, several School to Work Committee meetings at the Woodford County High School.  This allows us to learn about projects going on at the high school level and also allows us to offer our guidance to the instructors concerning the types of workers our industry requires.  We try, whenever and however possible, to support this vital program because we feel strongly about the importance of staying in school and receiving an education.  

Moreover, we are excited about being in a smaller community and we enjoy the chance to support various community activities.  As such, we have provided various in-kind donations over the last few years, including:

• Ruggles Sign Company donated the highest per capita employee contributions to the United Way of Woodford County in 1998.

• Woodford County Relay for Life - banners

• Woodford County Child Abuse Awareness Month - banner

• Woodford County Fair - banners and various signs

• Woodford County Humane Society - various signs

• Huntertown Elementary Career Day (A School to Work Program) - banner

• Woodford County High School - partial donation of the monument sign and football schedule signs  

• St. Leo’s Church - various sponsor signs for a golf scramble

• Woodford County Chamber - various signs

• Versailles Fire & Rescue - golf scramble various sponsor signs 

• Woodford County Reality Store - various signs
